San Diego Realtor Celebrates 30-Years of Service with More Than $30,000 in Donations
to Local Nonprofits
San Diego, CA – A consistent top-producing realtor and active member of the San Diego community, Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Properties realtor Rosamaria Acuña is celebrating the close of her 30th year in business by fundraising more than $30,000 for local nonprofits.
Acuña is as passionate about her community as she is her profession. This past year alone, she spearheaded a neighborhood watch program, and dedicated her time and resources to various charitable initiatives - often as a fundraiser, sponsor, emcee, or honoree – resulting in more than $30,000 in donations and hundreds of volunteer hours.
Recipients include the Friends of Scott Foundation, San Diego Rescue Mission, Noah Homes, Sunset Cliffs Natural Park, and Oh! San Diego, as well as Friends of Scott’s annual children’s carnival at Rady Children’s Hospital.
Acuña is also passionate about communities and causes beyond her San Diego backyard. A lifelong learner, she is committed to stretching and challenging her leadership capabilities by participating in expeditions with the international leadership school NOLS.
“Rosamaria’s enthusiasm for community organizations is contagious. People are drawn to her causes, because she brings such a genuine human caring to everything she undertakes,” said Ken Kramer, Creator/Producer/Host of "Ken Kramer's About San Diego" and philanthropist. “She is truly something extraordinary “About San Diego”.
Acuña specializes in residential real estate for a wide clientele, ranging from an expertise in the luxury market to guiding first-time buyers. Over the past three decades, she has steadily cultivated a stellar reputation for her extensive market knowledge, innovation, dedicated work ethic, negotiating savvy, and a network of professional alliances.
“Whether on the buying or selling side, I take tremendous pride in guiding people to make smart investments on their home and meaningful investments for their future,” said Acuña. “The most rewarding part of being a realtor is helping people create security, along with the home of their dreams. Because of my clients, I am able to extend that help to even more people in need through my work with our local non-profits.”
With a proven track record of successful closings year-over-year, she has achieved numerous consecutive honors including both the Presidents (top 3%) and Chairman’s Circle Award (top 2%) for ranking among the brokerage’s elite national network of sales professionals, as well as a nomination for the National Association of REALTORS® Good Neighbor Award. Rosamaria also serves as a mentor to new agents acquired by her office.
Acuña began her career in 1988 working for a boutique agency specializing in first-time and VA buyers, and government repossession homes throughout the county. Recognizing the fast-changing pace of the real estate market, she aligned herself with larger players such as Prudential California Realty before settling in at Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Properties in 2006.
“Rosamaria has helped us face the challenges of being a homeowner, and has always gone above and beyond through multiple transactions,” said clients Julia and Dave Glassanos. “Her immense knowledge of the industry, a kind heart, patience, and guidance through every step of the home buying process is a testament to her professionalism and dedication.”
Inspired by her two millennial daughters, Acuña plans to dedicate more time in 2019 to educating millennials on the value of homeownership and volunteering. She purchased her own first home at the age of 21, and has since guided many other young first-time buyers through the process.
For her first initiative in 2019, Acuna is presenting a “Lunch & Learn” Home Buying Seminar at Pizza Nova on Saturday, January 26 starting at 11:30 in the morning.
